Only in Idaho...

I recently learned that there is a school district in Idaho that closes for two weeks for "Spud Harvest." Only in Idaho would there be such a thing!
If this isn't bad enough, I think I'm still experiencing culture shock each time I look at the view from my back door...

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Flamm!

One of my best friend's got married a week ago. Kimmy and I were random roommates our freshman year at Utah State and have been friends ever since! Kimmy looked stunning and the wedding was beautiful! It was the first wedding we have been to since our wedding and it was fun to be on the other side of things. However, it made me miss our wedding day!
Natalee, Skye, and I were put in charge of putting the flowers on Kim's cake...talk about nerve racking!
The finished product...I thought it was beautiful!
Alan suddenly got designated to be the van driver to pick up the guests for the ring ceremony. It was hilarious!
And one of the best parts of the weekend was seeing this boy!

Six Months!

Today is our six month anniversary! It seems like just yesterday we were coming out of the temple. We have learned so much these last six months and we feel so lucky to have each other. We have been so blessed and we are loving being married! Here are some pictures of our wedding day...

We celebrated our anniversary by going to Lava Hot Springs. We ate ate a little Thai Restaurant (which we have missed here in Pocatello) and then sat in the hot pools.
Check out this weird thing to ring your swimsuit out...of course Alan tried it!
Happy Anniversary Babe.... I love you!

Labor Day Weekend

Our Labor Day Weekend trip turned out to be so much fun! I realized how much I have missed the mountains when we crossed the border to Utah. I guess it is one of those small things that I have taken for granted. It was so much fun spending time with my friends at Kim's wedding shower.
Kimmy tied the knot last weekend and the wedding was beautiful...pictures to come!

After the shower we headed up to Heber with Al's high school friends. We attempted to go boating every day but the weather didn't quite cooperate. The boys had some intense tubing wars....Alan has a scar on his arm to prove it!
I think the highlight for the boys was the all night halo tournament. This used to be a weekly occurrence back in High School.
Thanks everyone for a fabulous time...we had a blast!

Fantasy Football

I was privileged to spend my night last night witnessing the drafting of Alan's Pharmacy Class Fantasy Football Team. All I can say is out of control! Me and Dani were quite entertained as we watched our husbands frantically pick players. Is anyone else dreading football season...

No Place Like Home!

Although we are loving our new life in Pocatello, I think we will always call SLC "home." We are looking forward to heading to SLC this weekend for Labor Day. The main reason we are going is for one of my best friend's wedding shower. And we conveniently managed to plan a trip to Heber with some of our friends as well. We are looking forward to boating, relaxing, and listening to Alan's friends tear each other apart...all in good fun! Can't wait to see all these people...

See you soon guys!

White Coat Ceremony

Last week Alan had his white coat ceremony for Pharmacy School. It was so fun to see Alan receive his coat and start his journey in the medical field. I am so proud of him! Although, I'm still trying to accept the idea that we are going to be here for four years. Alan keeps telling me that I can't think of it that way or I am going to go crazy. I am beginning to think he is right!
