Poolside with Daddy

The house we stayed at in San Diego had an amazing pool and backyard. It was so much fun to be able to swim and lay by the pool whenever we wanted.
Deacon had a blast swimming with daddy one night. Nothing makes me happier than watching these two together.
Kisses
He learned how to really splash and it was so hilarious. His face was priceless as water was splashing everywhere. One of my favorite things about being a mom is watching Deacon discover new things and watching the excitement on his face.

Sea World

The day after the San Diego Zoo we headed to Sea World. It was so fun to see all the awesome animals and go to some cool shows!
Deacon loved standing up to this window and checking out the dolphins.
Deacon and Alan checking out starfish.
 Deacon & Nana
Deacon and Millie were quite fascinated with each other while on their daddy's shoulders. Millie is so cute with Deacon and always wants to play with him or give him toys. Actually, both Luke and Millie were Deacon's little entertainers on the vacation.
Deacon loves riding on Daddy's shoulders.
Again, Deacon was a trooper but by the end of the day he was so ready to get out of his stroller and crawl around.

San Diego Zoo

While in San Diego, we went to the amazing San Diego Zoo. Due to Alan's Pharmacy rotations, he originally was only going to be able to come for the weekend but he surprised me and came a day early and was able to come to the zoo with us! I was so glad he was able to come...everything is better when he's around!
It was a bit difficult trying to get a picture with both Deacon and Weston looking at the right time...this was the best I could do!
Deacon was obsessed and literally threw a tantrum when we made him get out!
Deacon was a trooper and did quite well in his stroller during the trip. He even took some good naps in the umbrella stroller, which surprised me!

Nana and Papa with all their grandsons!
 {Deacon, Holden, Weston, Luke}
This monkey was the biggest crack up. It was such a poser and would smile and pose for people. I stood there watching him forever it was so funny!
At the end of the day we rode the sky coaster. After getting over the initial shock of the wind, Deacon had a great time!

He loves chewing on his little pointer finger...so cute!

Neidig San Diego Vacation

My mom planned an amazing family trip to San Diego in July. She rented an awesome house with a pool and we had a blast hanging out with my family for a week. It was so much fun to get all the cousins together...I just wish we all lived closer.
One of the first nights we were there, we went to a fun park on the beach. The only thing better than swinging is swinging on the beach!
Deacon and Holdie playing a competitive game of tic-tac-toe.
It was so much fun to see Deacon experience sand for the first time.
He was obsessed with digging and running his hands through the sand....oh and eating it too!
The lighting is horrible in this picture but I love it! He truly loves life!

First Boat Ride

While we were in Utah we took Deacon out on his first boat ride. I must say we were a little disappointed with his reaction but I guess I should have known that a life jacket would be way too restricting for my super busy child!
He was very apprehensive when we first put his life jacket on then he was just mad and lots of tears followed.
We eventually found a bigger life jacket on the boat that was less restricting and allowed him to tolerate the boat.
Giving Daddy kisses after surfing.
I was pretty excited that he was letting me hold him for once.
And it only got better when he fell asleep in my arms. Pretty sure I can't remember the last time this has happened. It was heaven!
Thanks Hans and Laurie for a fun day.

Splash Pad

While we were in Utah we went to one of the new splash pads. Deacon was a bit unsure at first but he warmed up to the idea and liked some of the smaller fountains.
There was also an awesome playground and Deacon went on his first teeter-totter ride.
This picture kills me! We love this boy!
