2 Years!

We celebrated our 2 year anniversary on March 20th! I don't know where the time has gone...all I know is that I love us and the life we have created together.

Jaymen's Baptism

Alan had the amazing opportunity to baptize his cousin, Jaymen, this past weekend in St. George. Although it was a long drive, we were so happy we were able to attend this special event.
I was also able to meet baby Grahm while we were in St. George.
Congrats Skye and Cody...he is adorable!

Be Mine Valentine

My girlfriends and I decided it would be fun to do something sweet for our hubbies for Valentine's Day. Charish had the brilliant idea of doing a scavenger hunt...I think the guys might beg to differ! We got together and planned where each stop would be and Cali wrote some very creative clues! I tricked Alan into thinking the two of us were going to dinner. While he was getting ready I told him I had to run an errand. A couple minutes later I called him and told him to look under his pillow. This is what he found...
The girls were just one step ahead of the guys dropping off the clues. I know these next few pictures are repetivitive but I had to document each stop. The first stop was McKees...the local pet store.
We hid the clue under the bandana.
Coldstone...
Footlocker...

Gold's Gym...
Winco...
The last clue led the guys to dinner at Ruby Tuesdays.
After dinner we headed to the Hubbard's house for some Minute to Win it games. It was quite entertaining!

And we ended the night with a cheeseball group photo!
We are so lucky to have such great friends here in Poky!
Happy Valentine's Day!

Groundhog Day

Does anyone ever feel like their life resembles the movie "Groundhog Day"? By the time I get home from work, make dinner, and keep up with the chores around the house, it's time to go to bed and do it all again! I have especially been feeling this lately due to a VERY time consuming project I decided to tackle. This seems to be a pattern for me! It seems like every project I attempt is way harder than I envisioned! Here is a glimpse of the duvet I am making for our guest bedroom...that is if I stay sane and can finish it!

New Year's Eve 2010

We were so glad we were in Salt Lake for New Year's Eve so we could go out with our friends. We went to Bonsai for dinner and enjoyed a hilarious chef and quite the people watching show.
After dinner we headed up to solitude for a night of games...thanks Blake and Michelle! We nearly died from hypothermia trying to find our room but we survived.
{Michelle, Lindsay, Brittany, Emily}

{Matt, Jeff, Alan, Blake}
Guesstures is always a big hit. If anything, it's a good opportunity for the guys to make fun of each other...especially Alan!
The guys have started a tradition of giving out the "Man of the Year" award each New Year's Eve. This award goes to the most accomplished guy during the year. Alan was lucky to receive the award last year and this year the award went to.....
Blake Simkins!
Jeff came in as a close second and I'm sure he will snag the award next year with the birth of Baby Sawyer.
2010 was great and we are looking forward to what lies ahead in 2011!

Christmas 2010

Christmas was wonderful this year. I think this might be partly due to the fact that I took the whole week after Christmas off plus a couple days before Christmas. In fact, I loved it so much that I plan to take this much time off every year.
We spent Christmas morning with Alan's family.
I scored big time with these sunglasses I got Alan. Not only were they one of his favorite gifts...I think they were one of mine. I will gladly throw his old ones away for him!
We had dinner with my my family later that night and opened more gifts.
Gotta love the photo with Luke and Millie. I'm pretty sure Luke is starting to get sick of me taking pictures with him.

The whole family minus Shan, Cam, and Weston...oh and my dad taking the picture!
Thanks to our wonderful families for being way too generous to us!

What are the chances?

So I was sitting in a meeting at work on Thursday when a co-worker passes me a note that says, "I think the UPS truck just hit your car". I wasn't quite sure what to think so I headed outside and this is what I found...
All the UPS driver managed to say to me was, "It could have been worse". Seriously, like that is supposed to make me feel better. Apparently he got out of his truck to take a package into our building and when he came out his truck had magically rolled into my car. He claims his clutch malfunctioned...but really, what are the chances of that happening?
The bad news is that my car looks like this. The good news is that UPS has insurance!
